Working away

I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been busy.
I'm working away at Cassidy. I was all excited and gung ho about starting it. So I jumped right in. I made such a huge mistake! It's the first time I've used charts and the first time I've made cables. I didn't read the chart correctly at all. I thought there was a mistake in the pattern. There wasn't, I just can't read. So, I ripped it all back to the ribbing. Then I had to have Melissa help me. She uses charts all the time. She suggested I write out on paper what I was supposed to do, in the correct order. There are six different charts in this pattern. So, I took some graph paper and enlarged the charts. Now I can actually see what they are supposed to be. It's really easy to memorize, now that I know the proper sequence.
I need to measure, but I think I have about 8 of the 14 inches of the back panel made. I am totally in love with this yarn. Knit Picks Shine worsted. It is so amazingly soft. I'll definitely make more things with it. I'll get picks up soon.
