And so

I have finished sock number one. Well, almost. I have to graft the toe. I'm waiting for the hubs to try it on first. He's out of town. I don't want to go to all the trouble of grafting, if I have to turn around and rip it back out. I've enjoyed this pattern. It was easy, but not boring. That's always good. I got most of it knit at Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah, it pays to invite yourself to someone else's house and not cook. LOL

Yes!

They are a hit so far. The hubs likes the pattern and so, I'll keep trucking along with sock number 1.

I'm taking the knitting along to Thanksgiving Dinner. Of course I am, who am I kidding. I'm not cooking and I plan to sit in the corner somewhere anyway...so...knit I will.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Don't forget to be thankful.

Finally!

I think I finally found a sock pattern for the hubs. Phew! I was beginning to worry I would have design something myself. I'm really not ready to attempt that.

I'm trying the Globe Trotter socks. I hope they work. They look awesome in the pics, so here's to hoping.

Sense and Sensibility

I may not have ever told you this before, but...I like to sew as well as knit. In fact I'm totally in love with the patterns from Sense and Sensibility.
They are amazing and her tutorials are so helpful. Jennie has just started a line of e-patterns. How wonderful is that? You can find them here.

I am attempting to make a Regency Period dress,(think Pride and Prejudice) but the pattern I bought is difficult and not fitting together properly. So, one day in my internet travels I came across Jennie's site. One day I hope to make all of her dresses.

Check out her site, I'm sure you'll love it. If you are as much of a dorky history buff as I am, that is.

Frustration

I have been, for months, trying to find a suitable sock pattern for my husband. I have found nothing that works. I don't have the nerve to try to design my own pattern yet. Although I feel I may have to do just that. It's not like he has enormous feet and tiny little chicken legs or huge legs and small feet. He's got normal feet and legs. So why won't the socks fit? Gah!

I've also been trying to work on Christmas presents. I have one finished. One, out of I can't remember how many. Sigh. I need to get to work.

Oh and one other thing. Melissa is the Devil. She made another Knit Picks order and asked if I wanted anything. OF COURSE! The Devil. LOL
